My BIL told a story one Thanksgiving about his first time making turkey when he moved to the US for medical school. He put the frozen turkey in the oven and turned the heat up to 500F so it would make up for it not being thawed then he left his apartment. When he got back home the fire department was there. It caught fire in the oven.
